QuarterPole Plus is a full featured racing simulation with all the action and results expected from competitive, live racing. From full handicapping to everyday stable management and everything in between. New horses added every year as older horses are replaced. Full sights and sounds with leading announcers. QuarterPole Plus brings horse racing to the home computer in an unrivaled way.
      For newcomers, QuarterPole Plus provides a full introduction to horse racing including a glossary, a course in selecting winners using past results, beginner systems, typical scenes from race courses and other fun-filled features. If you want to learn what racing is all about, and why it's the 'Sport of Kings' throughout the world, this is the game for you!
       Active racegoers don't need any introduction and can jump right in! If you can't get to the races every day, and need a little action or always wanted to own a stable; this is the game for you!
       And both newcomers and active racegoers will love the renaming feature. Rename all horses in your stable as well as your trainer and jockey. Current and past heroes, villains, friends, foes, bosses ... you name it!

Races - 3120 new races a year, 10 a day; year after year. Stakes, Handicaps, Claiming, Maiden, NW1/2 and Allowances. 5-14 furlong races, dirt and turf. Large racing colony moves to a new course every 3 months. 250 unraced 2yos replace older horses each year.
Scenarios - Players have a choice of 10 different scenarios each of which represents a fresh challenge. These range from $50 for betting to as much as $1,000,000 and a 24 horse stable. You can start, save and continue games in any or all scenarios limited only by the memory of your PC. You can specialize in one or more ways of betting or running a stable.
Horses - cover a wide range of performance levels with front runners, stalkers and closers. A horse's performance varies from race to race but within its own range, and changes with age.
Handicapping - Full past performances and results charts. Horse, trainer and jockey records continuously updated. Track records. A course in handicapping. Systems for beginners. Race results depend on past performances, track conditions, track bias, pace, race positions, running styles, jockey and trainer patterns, weather and racing luck.
Betting - Standard and exotic bets including keys, wheels and parlays plus casino bets for players who want to avoid serious handicapping or hedge their bets. Pari-mutuel bets change odds.
Owners - Get a stable; pick their trainer, jockey and silks; make race entries or let their trainer; claim horses; buy or sell horses privately; buy unraced horses at auction; collect purses and get to the Winner's circle.
Sights & Sounds - Race graphics from start to finish, split times, 4 track backgrounds and announcers, 'call to the post', gate 'clang', hoofbeats, leading announcers call the race from start to finish including the winner, auction graphics and auctioneer - click on the Sights & Sounds link above to see and hear some of these. You can watch a race by clicking on the link above. It will take a couple of minutes to start because of the large amount of visual and audio content in a race.
Renaming - All stable horses, trainers and jockeys can be renamed.
