Through the ages, stained glass has been used to enhance museums, houses of worship and other venues. By taking advantage of its intrinsic properties, fine stained glass representations of equine events are being created by the Action Games' Sports Studio. Our work captures the motion and beauty of the horse in its competitive settings. Stained glass scenes, ever-changing in mood and feeling with shifting light, can permanently affect the décor of any area, adding sparks of color and the feel of motion. The splendor of equine events is recreated through the selection of subject, composition, glass colors, patterns & texture; as well as the use of mixed media, painting and kiln firing.
Flat, turf and steeplechase racing, morning workouts, dressage, polo, show jump and western scenes as well as owner's silks are included in the Studio's works. An ability to make angular and sharp cuts in glass allows us to present scenes in a natural, uninterrupted manner rather than in the multi-lined appearance of traditional stained glass work.
We also combine stained glass with reproductions of fine, vintage equine art and other scenes to create unique works in their own right. A variety of special 'keepsake' boxes and glass-framed art encompassing a broad range of the equine landscape results. With their low cost, these represent excellent value for those who love the horse.
All stained glass work is individually hand crafted at the Studio. Our products have been carried by numerous gift and tack shops in N. America and the Studio has done many commission pieces, especially of owner's silks, for nationally prominent and local thoroughbred owners and trainers. A list is available by request. Because our products involve stained glass and our designs are original, many are one-of-a-kind and not found elsewhere. While our work typically involves equine subjects, we have general capability and are well able to respond to inquiries of interest for other subjects.
Prices shown include S&H. Because most items are made to order, a few weeks are usually required for shipment. We provide progress notes to customers by e-mail.
