Action Games, Inc. was incorporated in the state of Delaware in 1986 and began life with QuarterPole®, its original and authentic thoroughbred racing board game. This was the first racing board game to truly reflect the sport with claiming, stakes races, varying track conditions and distances, purses and horses of differing performance levels and running styles.

The board game was the basis for QuarterPole® PC, a DOS based computer game, developed jointly with MicroLeague Sports, a leading computer sports game company at the time; under intellectual property license from Action Games. With the advent of Windows as the primary operating system and the arrival of the CD-ROM format, QuarterPole PC was upgraded to Hooves of Thunder™ once again together with MicroLeague Sports. The latter ran into corporate difficulty and filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy thereby canceling their license for the racing game series. Action Games reissued Hooves of Thunder under its own label and has continued the development of the series in an upgrade to QuarterPole Plus™, a JAVA language game with many additional features.

Concurrent with game development, Action Games incorporated a stained glass art studio into its operations to add to its products and interest in racing and other sporting equine events. The Studio exhibited at Saratoga Race Course for 7 years, Dressage at Devon, Fair Hill races, Pennsylvania Hunt Cup meets and Delaware Park. It has done commission work for many local and nationally prominent race horse owners and trainers, focusing on owner's silks in stained glass. The Studio's products have been carried in numerous tack and race course gift shops in N. America.

We are pleased to be able to offer commission work in equine and other subjects. Our artisans are well able to work away from ideas, pictures or other inputs from customers in the design and development of our art products.
